About Me

Prior to establishing Perfect Words Communications, I gained experience in several sectors of corporate business. These areas include healthcare, human resources, public and media relations, corporate communications, event planning and advertising/marketing.

 After receiving a BS in Communications/Print Media Studies, I began my professional career proofreading closed captioning for television programs such as The Young and the Restless, Martha Stewart Living and Montel Williams as well as news package captions for The Today Show and CNN Headline News. I earned a Masters in Communications and Information Systems while working as the associate editor of a nationally-distributed newspaper for one of the largest fraternal organizations in the country.

Now, after several years of experience in proofreading and editing as well as writing for various diverse audiences, I conduct freelance work in all of these areas and more (see my writing Services).

In addition to servicing clients in several industries, I am the U.S. writer for an international news service/trade magazine and a proofreader for thewritingbug.com.
